The main target for this expedition was to search for the British battlecruiser HMS Hood. But first they visited and filmed the wreck of the Bismarck. This expedition used no manned submersible but a ROV.

Expedition left wreck site: 13 July 2001 (the expedition headed for the Denmark Strait to search for the wreck of HMS Hood. She was confirmed to be found 23 July 2001.
